1st meeting of ISarcoPRM

It is our great pleasure and honor to announce the 1st meeting of ISarcoPRM – the special interest group of ISPRM on sarcopenia.

We deem this group/meeting very important since sarcopenia has already taken its place in the clinical practice and academic arena pertaining to the aging population. Herewith, sarcopenia still does not have well-established definition and diagnostic criteria, and this is actually one of the strong arguments why PRM physicians should be in play as regards this public health problem of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system…

We strongly believe that physicians – who are dealing with elderly patients – need to increase their awareness/knowledge on sarcopenia. Likewise, we also believe that this short meeting – gathering top experts from different parts of the world as well as from different specialties – will definitely serve in this sense…
